Von Baron Quartet    (10 votes)
Medici's presents Von Baron's tribute to the music and saxophone prowess of David Sanborn. An evening of funky, smooth yet slightly gritty Jazz designed for your ears and maybe even your feet! With the fabulous Von on drums, the wonderful Tim Tsukiyama on sax, versatile John Kolivas on bass, and the creative and efferverscent Ethan Capone on keyboards.

Here is a little more about David Sanborn: David Sanborn has released 24 albums, won six Grammy Awards, and has had eight Gold albums and one Platinum album. Having inspired countless other musicians, Dave has worked in many genres which typically blend instrumental pop, R&B and lately, more and more traditional jazz. In his three-and-a-half decade career, he continues to be one of the most highly active musicians of his genre. Considered as a whole, Dave is an artist who pushes the limits and continues to make music that challenges the mind and goes Straight to The Heart.

Maggie Herron    (81 votes)
2015 Na Hoku award winner, Jazz Vocalist and Pianist, Maggie Herron, performs with Dean Taba on Upright Bass. These veterans of music have a unique and compelling synergy in their interpretations of Great American and original songs.
Maggie's CD's are available on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby.
"There isn't a weak link in Herron's 13-track songbook, or the players. She gives each song a great deal of thought and care, choosing based on comfort level and style. Most of the songs groove at her own leisurely pace, on her own terms."

Dean Taba is a respected clinician and educator (Los Angeles Music Academy, Musician's Institute, Cal-Poly Pomona, Grove School of Music) Dean has recently performed/recorded with Jeff Lorber, David Benoit, Mark Murphy, Jake Shimabukuo, Andy Summers, Sadao Watanabe, The San Francisco Symphony, Hiroshima, Rick Braun, The American Jazz Institute Orchestra, Dave Koz, Jeff Richman, Pauline Wilson, The Philippine Philharmonic Orchestra, Daniel Ho, Bill Watrous, and many others as well as playing on countless CDs, TV shows, and movie sound tracks.
