Jazz and Classical Solo Guitar

Join us at Mercury Bar for an Evening of creative improvisation. The Art Ensemble of Makiki will be debuting a new structured improvisation piece, Lisa Schonberg is visiting from Portland, Oregon to improvise on the drum set and Midstream Duo makes a much anticipated appearance with their special blend of free jazz and death grind.

It will be a very exciting time for anyone interested in future music and true experimentation.

NOTE: considering that this is a tuesday and many music fans will have to work the following morning, we will be starting promptly at 8pm.

The VIVO sound is warm and retrospective with original works and new interpretations on a range of favorites including including Billy Joel, Elton John, Carole King, the music of the '80s, Broadway, the American songbook and more. With the range of song selections and combination of instruments the trio brings to the stage, VIVO can't easily be categorized, but audiences note that the group's passionate style and attention to creating beautiful music unify VIVO's sound.
